Getting ready for another National Geographic tour in Morocco (leaving next Wednesday, May 6), I am long overdue in posting some images from the last two.
In particular, I want you to meet my new friends, Mohamed Bourhrous, his wife Aïcha and their daughter Amal.
I got to meet this wonderful family in Azrou, in the Middle Atlas mountains thanks to Sue and Seth who had done their Peace Corps service in Morocco ten years ago. The four days I spent in Azrou in between tours were delightful. I roamed around the town, went to a hammam, shopped at the weekly market (“souk”), went hiking in the cedar forest.
The Bourhrous family welcomed me so warmly into their lives and we were very quickly talking as if we were old friends.
Here are some other photos from the March Morocco tours.
